This is Gary, you know, “Whatcha talkin bout Willis”? Well, I thought it was funny. Gary is a 2025 Keystone RV Coleman 17R. Also known as a “Couple’s Camper”, it features a short queen walk around bed, Full width bathroom at the back, dinette with bench seats, tankless hot water heater, 2 burner propane stove, small kitchen sink, microwave and refrigerator with a tiny “freezer”. While the specs say sleeps 4, maybe if you had little kids, 2 might be able to sleep on the dinette “bed”, but sitting 4 at the dinette, sure seems tight. This is a perfect camper for 2, thus the name couple’s camper.
Here is the floorplan:
Dimensions
- Length: 21.42 ft. (257 in.)
- Height: 9.5 ft. (114 in.)
- Interior Height: 6.5 ft. (78 in.)
Weight
- Dry Weight: 3,013 lbs.
- Payload Capacity: 1,387 lbs.
- Hitch Weight: 422 lbs.
I am finding mixed information on the tank sizes, I have seen specs saying 28-gallon tanks, 32-gallon tanks, and 30-gallon tanks. So, I am not 100% sure what the tanks are in our camper, but supposedly they are all the same, Fresh, Grey, and Black.
It also has a power awning that is 8′. Not very big for sure, but comfortable for 2 chairs to be under it. I have done several upgrades that I will put in separate posts, the air conditioner seems adequate, but summer hasn’t arrived in its full glory yet.
